Traudl and Gerda talking in Bed is a scene from Downfall that is rarely used in parodies.
The scene begins with Traudl Junge in their room turning the water taps but no water comes out. She then talks to Gerda Christian. Gerda is upset and thinks they will never make it out alive. Traudl says they just need to wait. But Gerda is worried and asks what will happen to them if Hitler kills himself. Traudl tries to reassure Gerda by telling her there is a way to escape. Gerda asks why Traudl said she would stay behind, Traudl replies that she honestly doesn't know. Eva Braun knocks on the door and enters inviting them to go for a walk.
In Downfall Parodies
The scene is rarely used in parodies. One such rare example is in 1979Onetime's parody entitled Hitler's peephole (the channel is deleted), which portrays Hitler as a pervert who spies on Traudl. Other Untergangers have used the scene in other ways. WonkyTonkBotty also used the scene in Traudl and Gerda fail to flee the Bunker.
- Right before Eva enters the room, Gerda asks Traudl if they will be able to buy bread at the bakery like they once did. This part is included only in the Extended Edition.
