ParodyBox was a video-sharing website formed some time in 2009. As the name implies, the site was established with the purpose of hosting parodies and similar comedic media, which thus made it a place of refuge for Untergangers during the mid-2010 DMCA incident.
Despite being free from any corporate incumberances compared to YouTube, Parodybox never appeared to have gained any significant appeal compared to the more established alternative video hosts like Vimeo and Dailymotion. This, along with high bandwidth and server costs, led to it being shut down in 2011-2012.
