Mao Zedong, or Mao Tse-tung, and commonly referred to as Chairman Mao (December 26, 1893 – September 9, 1976), was a Chinese Communist revolutionary, guerrilla warfare strategist, Marxist political philosopher, and leader of the Chinese Revolution. He was the architect and founding father of the People's Republic of China (PRC) from its establishment in 1949, and held authoritarian control over the nation until his death in 1976. His theoretical contribution to Marxism–Leninism are known as Maoism.
Mao remains a controversial figure to this day. Nationwide political campaigns led by Mao, such as the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, are often considered epic failures. While China's population almost doubled during the period of Mao's leadership (from 550 to over 900 million), his rule from 1949 to 1976 is believed to have caused the deaths of 60-70 million people, making Mao the biggest mass murderer in history. Severe starvation during the Great Chinese Famine and political persecution during the Anti-Rightist Movement and struggle sessions all resulted from these programs.
Mao is still regarded as one of the most important figures in modern world history, and was named one of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century by Time magazine.
In the Downfall Universe
In DeltaForce62 's video Mao Parodies: The begining, Mao expressed the desire to create his own version of parodies, so he can rival with Stalin parodies and Downfall Parodies. Chiang Kai-shek offered himself to become the Chinese version of Fegelein. So far there haven't been any other parodies made.
After DeltaForce62 closed his account, the status of the Mao parodies is uncertain, so far no Unterganger has considered making a parody series.
