Hitler Parody Wiki

This scene is rarely used by Untergangers for the noted lack of any dialogues.

Traudl enters Hitler's sitting room to hand him a file, only to find it almost entirely darkened, except for a lighted desk light, and the Führer staring at a painting of Frederick of Prussia, while his mind drifts. She, unnerved, silently puts the file on the table and quietly leaves the room.

Remarkable is the sequence leading up to the scene. Outside, Krebs and Burgdorf are sleeping on the armchairs, and Keitel sat opposite to them. Keitel merely glances as Traudl enters the room.

In Downfall Parodies

Most parodies involving this scene replaces Frederick's painting with other images, such as the Wellington Piglet, Inglorious Basterds Hitler ranting, or himself. In a few of these cases, it served as a television.

FegeleintheLostTapes used the sequence leading up to the scene in Viva La Fegel, where the three generals pulled an antic on poor Traudl. As she opens the door, a spring-loaded giant wrestling glove punches her, sending her towards the wall.

Trivia
