Saif al-Islam Muammar al-Gaddafi (born June 25th 1972) is the second son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and his second wife. He is an architect/engineer, politician, and unofficial regime spokesman, mostly during the current Libyan civil war. He was previously seen as the Western-friendly, reforming face of the regime, prior to the war.
On August 22, he was reportedly captured by the Libyan rebels, but the next day, news sources report him walking freely in Tripoli. Saif has been officially captured on November 19.
In the Parodies[]
In Unterganger Benad361's Gaddafi parodies, Saif is Gaddafi's answer to Jodl, since he is also bald and objects to Gaddafi's plans. He was shown replacing Jodl in Benad361's parody "Hitler versus the Gaddaf's: Part Two" after Gaddafi takes over the bunker and replaces Hitler and several of the bunker crew.
In Benad361's parody "Chuikov, Gaddafi and the Closet" he and his aides dress up as Germans to get into Berlin, and he introduces himself to Vasily Chuikov to demand that he releases Muammar Gaddafi from captivity (little do they know that he is locked in Chuikov's closet) but to no avail.
In DictatorAntics' Antic Menace series, he represents Libya at the UN. He also takes part in the fight over the antic-dust (after the defeat of Fegelein's scheme).
Similarities with Jodl[]
- Both object to their leaders plans.
- Both infuriate their leaders with aforementioned objections.
- Both seem to like (Saif has only been seen objecting three times in the parodies so far) to object to their leader's plans whenever possible.
- Both are bald.
- Both seem to be frequently insulted.
Differences[]
- Jodl does not wear glasses.
- Saif speaks Libyan, and English (not shown yet), wheras Jodl only speaks German.
- Saif speaks faster than Jodl.
- Saif is also an architect and engineer for the regime, much like Albert Speer.
- Saif seems to like objecting to anything whenever possible and not just plans, especially in interviews.
