The Downfall Community Awards is a monthly competition created by Delphox, The Jononator and Ninetales95NL as an official direct replacement for the Unterganger Awards. It is currently hosted by The Jononator, WonkyTonkBotty, VileHQ and Mein Unterkampf. The awards are hosted as a part of Unterganger Central.
After suffering from several delays and a severe lack of help, the awards were finally closed on October 23, 2022.
History[]
The Downfall Community Awards was founded in January 2018 by Delphox, The Jononator, and Ninetales95NL after the closure announcement of the Unterganger Awards. Ninetales stepped down as one of the three managers in April 2018, with Clorox becoming a manager in November 2018. Clorox made a new official logo for the DCA in that same month. For the month of February 2019, Juegoxi took Clorox's place as the new co-manager when the former retired left the community due to personal reasons. In July 2019, Simply Kevin became the fourth contest manager and the sixth overall.
In May 2020, Delphox, Juegoxi, and Kevin stepped down following a community drama, being replaced by WonkyTonkBotty, VileHQ, and Mein Unterkampf. The awards lay dormant for while before production of voting scripts and award videos recommenced in October. However, the production of these were unscheduled due to the IRL commitments of the hosts and a lack of judges.
In July 2021, whilst still being behind by over 6 months, the hosts decided that the best way forwards was to find new judges for the awards and essentially make them staff members of the awards. Unfortunately, only 2 judges reapplied and no new judges applied by the end of the hiring process in August. Due to this, a decision was made that allowing any member to apply for the role would no longer be allowed and the judging would be brought in house, with the hosts making up a majority of the judges.
In early January of 2022, a plan was made with the intent of putting out results as quickly as possible by making 3 results videos per month. So far it had been working and the awards were currently only six months behind as of February, which is astounding considering they were 10 months behind the month before. At this rate, they were expected be back on track by April that year. This was made especially quicker thanks to a results video template WonkyTonkBotty provided.
However, due to a lot of the moderators having their own lives, production was once again halted. By October 2022 of that same year, they had fallen so behind once again that a decision was ultimately made to end the awards all together. However the idea of a potential replacement was not ruled out.

Nomination & Award Process[]
Users can nominate through the Unterganger Chat Central Discord server. The nomination & award process is almost exactly the same as it was in the Unterganger Awards.
- You nominate your chosen parodies. You can nominate as many parodies as you want for each category. If you nominate one of your parodies, you MUST nominate a parody from other Untergangers in the same category.
- The nominations close and the Judges start choosing their favourite parodies from each category.
- The winners are then announced in a video uploaded on the Unterganger Central YouTube channel.
